Strong English communication skills and prior U.S. law firm or U.S.-based legal experience are required.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Case-Specific Demand Letters
- Draft detailed personal injury demand letters with integrated medical evidence
- Analyze policies and assess coverage applicability for insurance claim demands
- Prepare contract dispute demands, including terms analysis and breach documentation
- Ensure regulatory compliance in employment and labor-related demands
Case File Review & Summary
- Organize and review client case files for completeness
- Identify missing documentation and causation elements
- Create structured case summaries for inclusion in demands
Legal Correspondence Drafting
- Draft formal notices and follow-ups to insurance companies
- Prepare response letters to counterclaims or adjuster replies
- Ensure legal language is compliant and accurate
Settlement Support
- Calculate accurate settlement values
- Compile damage summaries and case timelines
- Format and present justifications for case value
- Draft settlement releases and closing documents
What We’re Looking For:
- Mandatory: Experience working in a U.S. law firm or U.S.-based legal company.
- Excellent English communication skills,both written and verbal(C1 level or higher)
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Pre-Law, or a related field
- Proven experience as a legal writer, demand writer, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of legal principles.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with demand letter formats, legal terminology, and citation styles.
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Available to work in US business hours.
System and Work Setup Requirements:
- A stable and high-speed internet connection preferably 50 MBPS or higher with backup in cases of power interruption or service provider issues.
- Own Desktop or laptop (not a tablet or chromebook), and a processor of Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 3 / 2013 Mac equivalent or higher; Windows 10 or above / Catalina 10.15 or newer; with up-to-date web browsers, and security software, 500GB/128 SSD storage.
- Headset/earphone with noise cancellation and webcam at 720p or higher resolution.
- A designated, quiet, and well-organized workspace free from distractions to facilitate focused work.
